Loud pedals for all people.

FAQ

Q:  I missed out on the last Slow Loris drop, will there be more?
A:  Yes.  As long as there is demand and I can get the proper parts I will keep building them.  I know it may be frustrating that they're not always available, but it's important to me to make sure I maintain a personal connection to the build process and give people a special product.

Q:  I just placed an order, how quickly will I get my pedal?
A:  I'm a one person operation, so while I do my best to get things packed up and shipped out as quickly as possible it will usually be a few days before your order gets in the mail.

Q:  My Slow Loris is making a crackling sound, is it broken?
A: Probably not.  Because of the way the circuit is designed there will be some inherent noise that will be more extreme with hotter or more bassy pickups.  So for instance it will be more noticable with some humbuckers than it will jaguar pickups.  However, if the pedal is just crackling and not doing the modulation effect, or the crackling and static feels very extreme please feel free to take an audio or video clip and get in touch.

Q:  Okay, my pedal definitely isn't working right, will you fix it?
A:  Yes.  All products are tested before being shipped and should work fine under normal use for a long time, but if something should happen along the way all repairs are free.  Fill out the contact form and we'll get you sorted out.

Q:  Are your pedals true bypass?

A:  Yes.  All my pedals are handwired and true bypass.

Q:  My pedal doesn't look exactly like the one in the picture, what's up with that?
A:  I do all my enclosure finishing by hand so each pedal has it's own unique look.  The small differing details are what make your NHA pedal special, so while they are all consistent each one is one of a kind.

Q:  The inside of my pedal has some parts that look different, does it sound different?
A:  Sometimes I come across some old stock/"mojo" parts and like to use them in place of their modern equivalents.  Or sometimes the modern parts I can get are just slightly visually different.  All parts are tested fully before use and it doesn't change the sound of the pedal, just adds to the uniqueness I strive for inside and out.  However if it is a special version that actually sounds different that will be noted in the listing.

Q:  How do I power one of your pedals, do I need a battery?
A: No, in fact my pedals are built without battery clips by default and use a standard standard Boss/1 Spot style, center pin negative, 9v adapter barrel plug.   Do not power it with a center pin positive plug or something like 18v, it will likely damage the pedal and it may need to be rebuilt entirely.  Neither of us want that.

Q:  Do your pedals work on bass?
A:  Yes, all pedals work on bass.

Q:  I missed out on one of your drops/restocks, can you build me a pedal?
A:  Unfortunately probably not.  When I am in production mode for a release/restock it's too difficult for me to switch gears and build something totally different.  So your best bet is to follow my instagram (@thatdavejordan, link is in the footer), and sign up for the mailing list (link is also in the footer) for news as to when new batches will be for sale.  Past that occassionally some pedals show up on the secondary market, so if you keep missing out on sales through me you may be able to catch one somewhere else.

Q:  I have an idea for a custom pedal, will you take a special order?
A:   Feel free to fill out the contact form and we can talk about it.  I don't have as much time to do custom work as I used to, and prefer to put my own spin on things rather than do straight recreations, but I am open to chatting about what you might have in mind.  You never know when you might catch me in with some free time.
